Multi-Room Baby Monitor

Do these exist? I can't seem to find anything and I think if I use two separate units, they will interfere with each other.

I'm not ready to give up the monitor in my 2 year old's room. He's still in a crib, so I need to be able to hear when he gets up in the morning and at naptime.

Re: Multi-Room Baby Monitor

  • We use the Lorex monitor.  We have the twins in separate nurseries.  Each nursery has a camera that displays on our monitor.
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

Thanks! I should have specified that I'm looking for just a sound monitor, not video. But, I may have to change my plan.

  • I didn't want to get video monitors, but I'm so glad that I did.  We have two Summer Infant video monitors.  Our boys are in two separate rooms.  I do have to keep the video screens about 2-3 feet apart, or they interfere.  The monitors are expensive, but so worth it!  If one breaks, I will have no doubts about running back to the store to buy another.
  • We have two different video monitors by Summer.  One is about 5yrs old (a hand me down from SIL).  It's the standard model with an a/b allowing you to add a camera.  So we have 2 cameras for this one.  Originally we used these on DDs.

Then when DS came along we decided to get another video monitor.  It's a Summer with one camera that swivels.  We moved this new monitor into the girls' room and set it up high (closet shelf).  I can swivel the camera to see what they're doing :)

DS then got the old video monitor.  I know they're expensive.  I rationalize it by being able to sell it on CL when we're done.

They do no interfere with each other at all.

  • Just wanted to update in case anyone else is looking for the same thing. We currently have a FP Sound n' Lights monitor. I decided to buy an inexpensive Graco monitor and just test it out. It works! The rooms are next to each other and there is no interference.
