rec your favorite muslin swaddle blanket

There are several brands at BRU and we have a nice fat credit to use there - so I'm hoping it's something that's found there.

W/ DD I just used some Carter's flannel ones that did not seem to be a good swaddle size for long.  From what I've seen a recent NB shoots, it looks like the muslin ones are the way to go now.

Any recs are appreciated!

  • You can't go wrong with the Aden and anais. I think they are the best and I have had a few ones including some that I got off etsy. The Aden and anais hold up really well and just get softer and softer with each wash.

Yep, this.  I didn't want to spend the money on them but I'm so glad I did.  They're so useful, we still use one practically every day.

  • We had a lot of success with the Swaddle Designs muslin blankets.

I have this brand in cotton from Target from DS#1 and thought they were awesome and had bought them as gifts for others. But now I am in love with a set I ordered for #2 from the land of nod, same brand only made with bamboo and they are so silky soft, it's incredible. Any muslin probably beats flannel in my book.

They have those ones at Baby Earth, too.  I was just ogling them the other day, wishing I had a tiny baby to swaddle.  Somebody else's would be fine :P

    The prints are super cute.

  • we used muslin aden anais ones for eve and i got the bamboo aden anais for annie.  bamboo x 1000% FTW

she still uses one of them (my favorite design with peacock feathers) as a lovey in her crib and she bunches it up as a blanket under her head every night :)

you can see how she uses it under her head here (her actual lovey is an angel baby doggie blanket)

  • We got some of the A&A like these for the baby and I can't believe how soft they are!!  I have a couple of other cheaper muslin swaddling blankets (different brand) that are nowhere near as soft.

  • Thanks - A&A it is.  I'll definitely have to check out their bamboo ones too.
