Rash under chin/neck

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months
DS has had a pimply looking rash under his chin and around the front of his neck for about 5 days now, I tried aquaphor for a few days with little result. I'm guessing the rash is from drool so I've been trying to keep the area really dry. If your LO has had this type of rash what helped clear it up?

    Buttcream ...works like a charm...she has it in every fat crease

    I also like Aveeno Lavender Vanilla cream - it has a skin protectant.

    Dd has had the same problem. Hers gets really bad so the pediatrician prescribed vusion for it. When it's not too bad I just use regular diaper rash cream, but be careful if you use Bordeaux butt paste (sp?)....that one stained some of her clothes.

    Burt's Bees Wax diaper rash cream has worked for us. desitin smells too chemical-y for me to use it that close to her face.

    My little guy had this same problem. I have heard that rash creams help but was not willing to put it on my child's next since I didn't want him touching it and then sucking on his fingers and hands. All I did was wash his neck after every meal and before bedtime with a damp washcloth, then I dried it and just rubbed a little bit of baby powder on it with my finger. Cleared it up in 2 days!
