Re: please recommend your white noise app

  • On my phone I use lightning bug.

As far as white noise things for the baby I have the soothe and glow seahorse which I love and the Cloud B gentle giraffe which I like too but not quite as well.

Born at 26 weeks 2 days gestation, 2 pounds 2 ounces due to IC/PTL,
and after 82 days in the NICU, our little girl is home!

  • No suggestions for an app but if you might be interested in buying a white noise machine you should check out www.sleepwellbaby.com I have a white noise machine in all my kids' rooms and they're amazing. I brought the one I bought for this baby into our room and she's been sleeping like a champ from day one (4-5hr stretches each night). Just a suggestion if you wanted to buy an actual machine :)

  • I just downloaded a track of gentle rain white noise and play it on constant repeat with the amazon mp3 app. Works just fine.

I use this one too. It's actually waves but it's super relaxing and seems to be working pretty well so far.

  • I have an Android (I don't know if it makes a difference? I just know that some apps are only available on iphone and such, so I assume it goes both ways...) and I downloaded BabySnooze for free. It has four options. TV Static, Vacuum Cleaner, Waves and Rain and a length setting option so you can set it to go off after 15, 30, 45, 60 or 120 minutes. I love the TV Static option. It puts DS right to sleep.

  • I have the SleepMate 980A for all of them and it's great. Just sounds like a fan or rushing air. I find a lot of them in stores have a shut off after an hour or whatever but this one runs continuously until you turn it off which is what you want to keep them asleep. I run them all night and it blocks out any noise.. we have a dog that barks ALL THE TIME and my kids never wake up. You can also buy it on Ebay .. just type in SleepMate 980A and you'll find it. Definitely my "must have" item for babies and kids.
