I have The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. It was recommened in our Bradley class and I've found it very informative (I'm about half way through it). There aren't a lot of pictures, however, your hospital should have nurses or lactation consultants who can help with positioning and latching.
You can also look up your local chapter of La Leche League www.llli.org and speak with one of the leaders if you have questions or need assisitance.

I found the most helpful book to be the Nursing Mothers Companion. I can't remember if it had pics but it was very helpful to me in the hospital! I probably wouldn't have kept trying if I hadn't had that book...
Thank you for posting this! I think I'm more nervous about breastfeeding than childbirth!!! I've been wanting to find a book or take a class, but I'm so afraid of people just pushing their opinions on breastfeeding.
I know "breast is best" and YES, I'm planning to bf, that's why I'm looking for information, so I don't need someone to preach to me about why I should be breasfeeding!! I feel like every book I've come across has scathing reviews from readers saying they're all opinion, judgmental and preachy!
I just want a good book with the information that I need to do this!! Help!!

I have this book sitting right next my rocker chair. Perhaps I should pick it up. ;-)
