Those who have switched to formula...

...did you find that your LO needed the same amount of formula as BM in a bottle? We are transitioning right now. I'm mixing 3oz of BM with 4oz of for ula and finding that he's spitting up a lot. He's always been a spitter, but I seems to be more than usual. He normally took 7oz of BM before we started transitioning.

    When we switched, he was still a spitter and wasn't eating as much but yes, it was the same amount. What I did notice was that he could sometimes go longer in between feeds, not by much, but like 15-30 minutes.

    Did you ever find that this resulted in your LO being fed 1 less time in a day?  Not that we're introducing cereal and formula at the same time, I feel like we're over feeding him if we maintain the same schedule. I don't want to over feed him, but I want to make sure he's getting enough to sleep thru the night, which he's been doing so well at.

    Not at first but he did eventually. When he did, he ate more throughout the day so that he still STTN.
