BBT help

I have been using the Walgreens BBTT this month and having some issues. This am it read 97.1, I got up and let the dogs out and then turned it back on because it is supposed to save the last two, it read 97.1 then yeaterday's 96.8. Then it will flash lo because it is trying to take a temp then. Now I turn it back on and it reads Lo then 96.8. Should I ignore the 97.1? I may get a new one today as this is the second time it has done this. 
TTC since 5/11
Charting since 10/11
MH-Low levels of testosterone,treatment since 1/11 
04/12-Me-BW for TSH, prolactin level,P4 (5DPO)- I did O, yeah!
5/12-Me-Annual OB - US shows all normal
6/12-SA #1 & #2- low across the board, waiting on new insurance to see specialist in August 
7/12-1/13- SA #3- DH off testosterone injections, numbers improve and back to normal 
6/13-RE Appt-DX ~ Unexplained Infertility -All is good to start IUI, start clomid on 6/19/13..
06/13-8/13- 3 failed IUI
10/13-Laparoscopy-few small cyst and some endometriosis
01/14-BW shows possible low ovarian reserve but not low enough to not proceed with IVF 
04/14- Start meds for IVF- BC for few weeks,Lupron in AM,then Gonal and Menoour PM. Canceled cycle after second US, not responding enough to meds.
6/14-Trying different protocol, Started supplements for both me and DH. Estrogen for 2 months, 2 rounds of progesterone, saline US to be done this month, will start stim meds in late July/ early August

    I wouldn't ignore todays temp. I would get a new one from Walmart but not use it until next cycle (you shouldn't switch thermometers midway through a cycle).
    TTC #1 05/2011- 04/2012; TTA  05/12- 05/14 due to DH health problems, nursing school. TTC #1 (again) since 05/2014. CP 08/04/14 at 4w3d

    You need to chart the first temp of 97.1 for today.

    I would take 97.1 and then invest in another BBT. I use the Mabis from Walmart and have had no issues with it.

    I have the Walgreens BBT as well, are you sure it says 96.8 & not 98.6? It will always show Low then 98.6 (it's what's considered the average body temp) and then Low again. And from what I know it only saves the last temp, not the last 2.

    I think you are right... I'm not dumb I promise lol I lost te instructions and must be reading the numbers backwards in the dark :/

    This + ditch the Walgreens temp since it gives favorites and go with the Mabis one from Walmart.  I went through a Target and a Walgreens BBT before landing on this one, and I've had it for over a year now.

    Just a question, but you're listing temperatures to the tenth, not the hundredth. Was your temp 96.10, or 96.1?

    I swore it said 97.1 but then when I went to record later it had 98.60. So maybe I was dreaming the 97.1. This is the first month I am temping.... trial and error I guess.... I am going to chalk this cycle up to me being dumb. Next cycle I will take it then go back and look at it once I am awake.

    This + ditch the Walgreens temp since it gives favorites and go with the Mabis one from Walmart.  I went through a Target and a Walgreens BBT before landing on this one, and I've had it for over a year now.

    I almost got one at Target, I will look into the Mabis for next cycle. Thanks!
