adjusted age?

Hi ladies,

LO was born at 34 weeks on Nov 5. He will be 8 weeks tomorrow. Adjusted age though he would be 2 weeks tomorrow. Should I be considering milestones according to his adjusted age or the age according to when he was born? What have your experiences been?  

Because you're mine, I walk the line....

    Adjusted age because that is when he should have been born.  The six weeks prior he was still growing just like a baby would be in the womb.  So right now he should be doing what a two week old should be doing.

    Adjusted until his second birthday. However there is a big curve in development already. 

    My older preemie did everything on adjusted age. He sat at 8 months, crawled at 10 months, stood on his own at 12 months, walked at 14 months, ect.

    The only thing he didnt do on time was speech.

    Honestly though, my full term baby sat at 6 months, crawled at 8 months, stood at 10 months and walked at 12, but there isnt much difference there now. It really didnt matter.
