NY Eve Party Fail

We went to a party at one of dh's friends house - suppose to be no kids, adults only. Everything was good when we showed up, but an hour after we arrived a couple came with their 6 month old. The baby cried half the night, the lady joked how we could play hot potato with the baby and pass her around. Then most of the other party goers have kids (they were home with babysitters) so started giving her advice of how to get the baby to sleep through the night. Had a ton of drinks last night so I didn't have to join in the baby conversation. Hoping to enjoy today since we are at the casino for dh's bday. Posting this from my phone so hope there are no spelling errors.

    I'm sorry, but that's rude to show up to an adult party with a baby.  When the baby started crying, they should have excused themselves and went home.  

    I'm sorry you had to endure that all night.  Have fun today and hope you win lots of money!!!

    1st pregnancy: BFP- 6/28/09 - Found out we lost our little girl on 10/9/09 at 19w 4d - D&E- 10/14/09

    June 2010, corrective surgery for Septate Uterus and large fibroids

    2nd pregnancy: BFP- 10/18/10 - Slow rising, non-doubling HCGs, no heart beat. Non-viable pregnancy, D&C- 11/12/10

    Started Metformin 6/30/11, Started Clomid 7/20/11 - Unsuccessful

    HSG and Laparoscopic surgery revealed blocked tubes and lots of scar tissue...IVF here we come!!!

    Surprise BFP naturally!!! IT'S A BOY!!!

    i'm sorry you had to deal with all that and then top it off with AF.  (((HUGS)))
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    Sounds terrible.  I'm sorry you had to deal with that.  And "Screw you AF!!"

    Yech.  Sorry, that makes for a sucky party.  I agree that they should have taken the baby home when it started fussing and spared everyone.

    Ugh, i hate when people do that crap.

    What is it about "NO BABIES" is so difficult to grasp? I'm sorry. Hope you had fun at the casino!

    Ugh yuck!! I hate it when people feel a baby is allowed when you say "no kids, adults only".  I'm so sorry the party turned out that way.

    Ugh!!  That's not right.  If it's an adult only party and everyone else got babysitters for their kids, what made that person think they were the exception?  So rude.  I get that maybe they couldn't get a babysitter or didn't want to, but I guess that means you should stay home.  Especially if the baby started crying.  I'm sorry you had such a crappy night, I hope that your day today was better.
