I want to get DD a doll soon (maybe Valentines day?) and wasn't sure what there is out there. She has 1 plush doll she got as a newborn but I want to get her another. Any suggestions?
We got DD a doll from Target. I think it was Circo brand. I did not want the doll to make any noise/move and I wanted it to have the soft body and hard arms, legs and head. We found one for 15$ that also came with a doll stroller. It's DD's favorite gift by far, she loves pushing her baby in the stroller.
It is relatively inexpensive (which was a must for me - $60+ for a doll at this age is too much!) It has a soft body and she loves to hold it and she feeds it, brushes its teeth (it doesn't have any - she just pretends), she puts it to bed etc etc. She loves it!
My son got a Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas. My husband and I both had one when we were little. There are so many dolls to choose from, I would just figure out what is important to you and go from there (hard, soft, hair color, potty, eating, etc.).
I would take a walk through a toy store/section because it's hard to tell online - I saw some really cute stuff when I was Christmas shopping for some of the little girls we buy for!
Also, I'm sure you're not as obsessed with smocking as me, but the smocked clothing brand Rosalina makes dolls that come in smocked dresses, and you can buy a matching dress for the doll's owner. So naturally I love B's Rosalina doll and their matching smockedness (durr).

Haha I had actually been looking at "springy" smocked dresses for Danica today
Re: Doll suggestions
DD got this one for Christmas and it seems to be about the perfect size for her. She really seems to like her.
