The name Cora

I think I have decided on the name Cora if this baby is a girl.  What do you guys think of when you hear that name? Do you like it? 

My mom and sister hate it! They say it reminds them of an old person! They weren't really a fan of DD1's name Chloe at first either.

    I like it a lot.  And as for your mom and sister's reaction - that's why we keep our names a secret.  They can't hate it openly after LO is born, right? ;)

    I really like it. Our family has an opinion about every name unless they picked it. So, last time my mil said she hated every name we mentioned just in talking I have decided to stick with saying one she really hates is the name. Honestly , our real choices have never been told yet!

    I love Cora.  It reminds me of the character in "The Last of the Mohicans," which is an awesome book.  Good name!  And I don't think it sounds like an old person.

    I think it's very pretty! Except when I first read it I thought it said corona, lol. But that's cause my brain is pretty crazy today.

    I like this name a lot and it is on my list for a girl as well. "The Last of the Mohicans" is where I first saw it. I think it is beautiful.

    I like it ... Although the only Cora I have ever know was of polish background and spelt it with a K not a C.

     

    The name actually makes me sad because something awful happened to that girl, but I still think it's a very pretty name.

    I love it too! Its such a beautiful name...reminds me of Coraline but IMO that is a kickass book and movie (albeit kind of creepy) but I've always loved that name.

    This is our #1 girl's name! So I obviously love it. :) It is a family name for me so it's always been something I've heard and kept in mind for when it was time!

    I love Cora!  But I also prefer names that are more traditional.  Plus it's a name she could grow up with and be professional with.

    I think it's very pretty.  I think of the little baby that died of cancer.  That blog was popular around TB during the early days with my daughter.
