I know this has been discussed before but what kind of diapers do you use and why? What have you used that you don't like? Do you think high price=better quality?
I'm still using Swaddlers and I'm afraid to try any other brand. It seems to me like they are really great quality and that the price is worth it. I was looking at a Luvs diaper and it just looks/feels super cheap but the price is so much better.

Swaddlers were what the hospital used, but we bought all Huggies before DS was born. We ended up buying 1 big box of Swaddlers NBs and now we're back in to the Huggies we bought before he was born. I don't have a preference between the two brands, they have both worked about the same for us.
A friend bought me some Luvs 1s but we haven't used those yet, would love for them to work the same as the others so we can save some money!

DS 's cord fell off today (finally) so we're using cloth now. But we have swaddled as back ups just in case. We tried huggies but hated them.
Our favorite are Pampers. Right now that is what we are using but we also have 3 packages of Huggies, those are ok to. We bought the Huggies because they were on sale and I had coupons-each pack was like $2-$3-couldn't pass it up. MIL also just brought us 2 huge packs of Pampers in size 2 (186 count each)
.
When all those are gone we will use Target brand. That is what we use for DD-when cheap enough Pampers but any other time Target. Also, Walgreens brand are actually good to. We can't stand Walmart brand, waste of the little money they cost!
We've kind of had a fruit salad of diapers because we got so many little packs as gifts. Its kind of nice though because we have found what we like/dont like...
I like the Pampers Swaddlers - we have several boxes of those ... fit great, and I love the wetness indicator.
I also like the LUVS - they fit just like the Swaddlers and we have had zero leaks. I didnt know if I would like them or not but they really are nice and once we run out of Pampers (might be a while) we will switch to LUVS assuming they continue to fit well.
We do NOT love Huggies. The NB were too big and crunchy and just didnt seem to fit right. When I used to teach in a toddler classroom a few years ago I had a child get a chemical burn from the Huggies diapers because they are experimenting with their diaper "formula"
Right now we are using a pack of Huggies size 1 that we received as a gift, but we really like the Pampers Swaddlers best. Can anyone tell me how the Target Up & Ups compare to the Pampers? I really want to try them to save some money.
Target's Up and Up are just as absorbent and I like the tabs on the Up and Up better than the pampers since they are much sturdier and elastic. I find the Up and Up to fit better...pampers seemed lower in the back, which could lead to blow outs. Up and Up does not have the wetness indicator, but I call that "diapers for dummies" anyway, so I really have no use for a wetness indicator. I love the up and up.
We're doing the Swaddlers too. I love the wetness indicator so not sure I could do without it at this point, but probably once he's getting bigger, having bigger pees and I'm not so worried about diaper count to report to pedi I may be willing to branch out.
We do have some regular Huggies in Size 1 from a diaper cake from one of my showers, so I'm sure we will use those. I'm curious to see what you all think of the Target brand that are planning to try it - please post opinions after you try it. I know I get a lot of my products in that brand and like some of them even better than the name brand.
