Going to my uncle's in NY. DH doesn't drink alcohol in any form, but me, my uncle and aunt, one of my cousins and her BF will probably have some beer, cocktails, and will dance to Macedonian music. DH will be obviously in charge for DS:)

I think we will go to our downtown area, check out the ice carvings, watch the kids ice skate and enjoy the party. We'll most likely have some friends over for board games/cocktails later in the evening. Also, I will be consoling my crazy pants dog because of the fireworks.

I am 95% sure we will stay in, but MIL has offered to babysit for us if we want to go out. We don't really have any friends in the area so we would just go out and do something ourselves, so we may as well just stay in.
We met face to face for the first time 3yrs ago on New Year's day. We had been chatting on-line for about 3 months while he was deployed in Iraq. It was his welcome home ceremony that we first met, so the holiday has some special meaning for us!

That is an interesting story. Happy meeting anniversary to you!

Absolutely nothing. I don't think. I will be lucky if I make it to midnight....Stella gets up between 6 and 7 consistently, no matter what time I went to bed the night before.

DS ordered from Zabars in NYC (they have Sat. delivery) and we'll be having bagels, lox, whitefish, salmons salad, shrimp salad and other yummy delicacies. I think I'll make him buy black & white cookies when he gets the bagels. We even got Dr. Brown's soda.
Of course our plans make more sense if you're a) Jewish and/or b) from the greater NYC area. But it's nice to stay in and do nothing. There is NO way DH will be up at midnight and hopefully I won't be either. I want to watch "The Holiday" or some other fluffy movie.
Going to grab some dinner somewhere casual (and early) with my sister, BIL and niece then coming back playing some games and drinking some cocktails. Don't have a babysitter so that is the best we can do.

My mom offered to babysit so DH and I are going out to a nice dinner. We will definitely be home by midnight and in bed shortly after for the 7am wakeup by DD.

We went to the Bronx Zoo this morning and had the place to ourselves...it was awesome. We then ate in Little Italy, at a delicious family friendly Italian restaurant near the zoo. Home now watching TV and everyone but DH will be asleep by 8:00PM LOL...I haven't watched the ball drop in five years...hahaha. Kids wake up at 5:30AM....And I can't drink because I'm pregnant.
