We initially had this name on our list, then discarded it, but after warming up to DH grandmother's name, Iris, Emily fit perfectly and I think sounds good with our last name that sounds like Stolz.

WDYT? Ps I know it's on the top names but I think it's one of those classic names that always will be near the top and I don't know any little Emily's running around

The vowel sounds are somewhat matchy IMO, but it's still pretty. I really love the name Emily and can understand why you don't care about its popularity!

I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
Emily has been one of my favorites since I was in junior high school. I chickened out on using it because of its popularity and because DH has a 1st cousin with the name.
However, it's still on my list as a possibility were we to ever have a 2nd girl.
I think Emily Iris is beautiful.
