My daycare called me this morning to tell me she doesn't think her daycare is the right place for my kids. Especially my son. She doesn't think he is very happy there. She has just told me that he seems miserable more than half the day!! News to me but we won't go there.
I need to find a nanny. Can you help me please? i am beside myself right now and don't have a clear head.
Thanks!!
Re: how did you go about finding your nanny?
Oh my goodness. I can't imagine anyone saying that about a kid as young as yours. I guess the good thing is at least she was honest, rather than just telling you that everything was fine so she could collect your tuition, despite your son being miserable.
Anyway, I've had friends who have had luck with sittercity and care.com. It does take some patience, but they've eventually found nannies through those sites. Also, have you posed on your the Upstate NY Nest or Bump boards? I know upstate is big (I went to Colgate), but even if the women there aren't in your local area, they may have suggestions for agencies, have friends with recommendations, etc.
Good luck!
I'm really confused-do your twins go to daycare or is your MIL watching them?
We found someone through sitter.city. We are really happy with her-she has great references, we've done a trial, and she's experienced. Added bonus is she is interested in only working when schools are in session-which saves us a HUGE amount!
how frustrating!
we are actually looking for some help, 3X a week when the twins come since i have a toddler at home, and yeah, im a little nervous about it. i am using sittercity.com. i just posted the job listing so we'll see. i hope i get some responses after the new year.
My MIL has been watching them 3 days a week but come Jan 9th they were supposed to go 4 days a week. Now out of the blue she is saying he isn't happy most of the time there. I think there is more to the story. Things have been going fine and now this. I am thinking she has another family that she can get more $$ from.
