Can I piggy back off the Jumperaoo post and ask when you got rid of your exersaucer/walker??

My LO is 11 months old, and is probably in his exersaucer for a total of 30 min. a day because he would rather be crawling/crusing around. However, those 30 min. to set him in there to get some stuff done around the help can really be beneficial sometimes!! So, it would be one less place to put him if he put it away. However, I could use that part of my living room back too!

When did you put yours away?

I'm not going to be much help, we never had an exersaucer/walker, only a jumperoo. When it's just DD and I at home (which is most of the time, DH works nights right now) I get my stuff done when she naps (which is a total of about 3 hours/day over 2 naps), when she's in her high chair (I've been known to push her high chair around the house to keep her contained), or when she goes to bed (around 8pm).

It's harder to find time without all these toys that contain them

We never had one but my parents have an exersaucer at their house. He used it until he could crawl (5 - 6 months), same as our jumperoo. What about getting a play yard? A won't let himself be contained in one of those but my friend with a 9 month old uses hers all the time. But I usually get stuff done during his naps or after he goes to bed at 8.

The usage went way down for us when our kids started cruising/walking. The triplets used theirs until 15 months, they were cruising at 10mo and walking started around 12mo.

Jericho started cruising at 7 months and was walking at 9 1/2. He stopped using the jumperoo at 8mo.

We still use ours as a lifesaver every day. We put her in it right outside our bathroom door (with the door open) so we can shower and get ready everyday. It has always only had about a 30 minute lifespan before she gets bored.
