Baby D has congestion so the Pedi precribed a liquid albuterol for her. I've only ever heard of the breathing treatments, never liquid. Have any of you ever had any experience with this medicine? I hear it makes them sleepless

    I have never heard of that. We are doing the breathing treatments with it now and it doesn't make her "sleepless" but it does make her fussy for a little while, but she's been sleeping fine at night.

    We do a nebulizer as well. I asked the dr. about this because if I take albuterol it makes me shaky and hard to sleep but the dr. reassured me this doesn't happen to babies. I'm not sure why.

    My husband was on lots of asthma meds as a child, was hospitalized for it, etc. He said that he has MANY sleepless nights due to the meds.

    But our pedi assured us that the meds for children's asthma are a lot better now. Maybe get a second opinion?
