I've been hearing a lot about them lately, and it sounds like they cut down on the drying time and prevents static pretty well. I normally use Downy free/clear liquid fabric softener but I'm wondering if the balls are worth a shot.
Any suggestions?
I have used the same set since R was born, don't know that they really work but I use them. I wonder if they need to be replaced every so often? I do not think they do anything to decrease drying time.
I switched to a gas dryer when I moved last and things where more staticky(if thats a word) even with fabric softener in the wash and sheets in the dryer. Which would make sense since a gas dryer does get hotter than an electric on. I bought the dryer balls and leave them in the dyer since in my mind they would work like tennis balls do. I still put in a dryer sheet & I've noticed a difference. They are pretty cheap so I think its worth it. Eliminating fabric softener wouldn't be ideal for me since I know Albany county has hard water
Re: Does anyone use dryer balls?
I use them. My honest opinion - I don't know if they really work. I use them since we CD, and dryer sheets and residue are bad for CDs.
But my dryer is also broken and has issues with drying time, so I don't think that is the dryer balls fault.
