Any advice on getting my baby to stop biting???

I'm over here from 9-12, but my little man is almost one, so I thought I would repost this over here to see if you ladies could give me some wisdom!:

Any other moms have babies who are biting them? My 11 month old has started biting me and my husband. He is not doing it to be mean, he does it when he is crusing around the couch and sees one of us sitting there. Or, when we are standing near him, he'll try to bite our toes...Or, even if we're holding him; I think he thinks he's being sweet sometimes?? I don't know. Basically, he is biting ALL THE TIME. When he does it, we have been saying, "no, no, we don't bite." And then we redirect him by giving him a teething toy or something. Does anyone have any other tips to get him to stop biting? Is this a phase all babies go through? I thought most kids go through this phase, but I thought 11 months was way too early!

 Thoughts? Thanks!!

    i think what you're doing is right. hopefully he'll get tired of doing it soon and grow out of it. or maybe if you stop giving attention he'll get bored of doing it. instead of making a big to-do, just gently remove his teeth from you (haha) and give him something else to chew without saying anything or making a big fuss. sometimes its an attention thing.

    LO went throught his phase too - we'd just make a big deal about how much it hurt.  Once he was over a year, we'd put him on a brief "time out" too though.  I would just be persistent - I hope it will pass!
