I'm pretty excited that DH's parents volunteered to watch our little guy. So, we are dropping him and the dog off at their house, going out to my favorite restaurant for dinner, and then heading over to a friend's house for a small party. We're going to spend the night at my parent's house (they're out of town and their house is 5 minutes from DH's parent's house where our DS will be at overnight). I'm so excited for a night out!
We will be doing....NOTHING! lol. We are in the middle of renovations and my dad is here helping, so we will just drink, fix stuff and watch the ball drop.

I'll be ringing it in at home with DH and LO. Boring but I'm actually looking forward to cooking up a bunch of fun appetizers and having some champagne!
Every year, DH's dad's side of the family celebrates Christmas on NYE, which means we spend the night there every. single. year. Goody.
I'm sure it's gotten old after doing that year after year but I kinda wish I had a standing celebration so I wouldn't have to figure out plans (or plan not to do something) each year.
We're going to a friend's place and probably up to the park to watch the fireworks at midnight, then call it a day. Luckily everything is within walking distance so no need to worry about driving.

It is nice that everyone is able to set aside time every year to see each other and we don't have to try to fit them into our crazy Christmas schedule. His side of the family is really nice and fun to be around ...however, just once I'd like to be able to go out to a fancy dinner or dress up and stay out til midnight and drink champagne at midnight with my husband! Or, I don't know, ring in the new year with some hot BD, instead of sharing a bunk bed with his cousins.
We're hanging out with another couple at their house, playing games and such. Then heading home to watch the ball drop and have quality time just the 2 of us.
We are going to have a quiet night in-- just my DH and I. It's our first NYE as husband and wife. We're picking up some movies and our favourite junk food and going to cuddle on the couch in our sweats. Honestly, I am so excited!!!

No idea yet! LOL. But we are flying out 1/1 at 6 am so it probably won't be too much partying. Or just don't go to sleep!

I was going to ask this same question. Hubby and i have a party planned with a college friend, her husband, and their two kids. Super excited about the "appetizers for dinner" scenario that we have planned.
We're going out to lunch with my entire family tomorrow to celebrate a bunch of birthdays while everyone is still in town, and then we're having a smaller subset of family and a couple of friends over for appetizers and a casual dinner. NYE is our wedding anniversary too.
We're going to a family game night at church which goes until 9. Then we'll come home and probably go to bed!

We were going to go out to dinner then to a bar for midnight but I woke up today with terrible neck pain and a swollen throat that is bright red and very sore, so we are doing take out and TV in our pjs...I am so looking forward to this!
Well, since we did Christmas in Vegas instead of going for NYE, we're welcoming the new year quietly. We're staying in for dinner, I'm making cinnamon rolls, and we're sipping sparkling grape juice (he might not, but since I'm in my 2WW, I'm not chancing a drink of the real thing!). We'll be completely unplugged from everything tomorrow evening, and boy, am I ready for it!!

We had plans to go out on the town with friends, but I'm not feeling too great, so I think we'll end up at another friend's house for a little get together.

Staying home and watching movies. I am SO excited...after the crazy week of visitors, I'm so happy to relax at home with some wine and the hubbs.

Going to SO's sister's house and maybe my aunt and uncle's house. I plan on getting my drink on!

Is it bad that DH and I would rather stay home, do nothing, and enjoy each other's company than go anywhere?
