I'm going in for my test in a couple weeks, we didn't do this test with our daughter but felt I would like the peace of mind this time around. The only other thing I'm curious about is did anyone get a "guess" and how many were right?
Never heard of this test, but at 10 weeks, it sounds too early to know for sure one way or the other. If you want peace of mind about knowing for sure, just wait for the 20 week anatomy scan. That's just my opinion.
@ 12 weeks, they can guess w/ the "angle of the dangle." Our sonographer wouldn't even look, but my friends that have had guesses have been mostly right. One recently was incorrect though.
Regardless of what they tell you (even if they can tell you something...the tech who did ours wouldn't even give a guess at 12w), I wouldn't go out buying anything gender specific until after the big ultrasound that you'll get later.
I would not being stocking up on blue or pink at all.. Just curious more or less if we DO get a guess how many were right..
Meh...there are so many variables (ie: baby being in exactly the right position, how good your tech is, etc.) that answers gathered from people who all used different techs and ultrasound equipment wouldn't really mean anything.
From what I understand however, it is easier to tell with boys that early.

Yeah, with DD we got an early 3D US (elective) and we never felt 100% enough to start buying ANYTHING gender specific. But it's always fun to see the LO's at the very least! And are glad this time we're "covering all of our bases".
I had my done a little late at 14 wks, but the tech said boy and everyone else since then has also said boy. So as far as we know it's a boy and everyone has been right.

Ours was correct at 11 weeks. We did it only to see the baby (my OB only does 1 u/s at 18 weeks for healthy pregnancies), didn't really care about the results of the NT scan.

They guessed two boys for me at my NT scan and at my 16 week u/s, but at every one since (and ere have been a lot!) they've said two girls. I was shocked since usually the boy guesses are more accurate that early on.
