I have a doctor's appointment today sans kiddo and I just might be incredibly slow in making it home after a couple of errands following the appointment.
I'm getting the Mirena today and it scares me a little.
I would probably suck as a SAHM, but I am mourning the loss of my maternity leave big time.

We've been on vacation and I miss reading and responding on here!
Anyway....I have been pretty cranky the last week or so and for the past two nights I have fed at about 10:30 then gone to sleep and let DH give a bottle and deal with everything else. I have woken up in the morning SUPER engorged (I touch them and I spray) and pumped about 9 oz. This morning Nate woke and fed right after I pumped so I just gave him some of that.
I know this is not a good idea in the long run (supply issues etc) but honestly two nights of sleep and I feel like a new person!
We haven't bathed LO as often as I think we should. I think we have bathed him 6 or 7 times in 8 weeks. I just find it difficult and uncomfortable for ME right now, and can't figure out how to make it easier.

Are you sponge bathing or in the tub? It was a pain in the a$$ for us to do the sponge baths when his umbilical cord was still on, and once it fell off it took me a few more weeks to transition to the tub because honestly I was a little scared. But he loves his bath time now. Before he would just scream and now he kicks around and seems pretty content.

I have 2 canisters of Enfamil formula that I'm not going to use so I am trying to find a place in town to donate them. If I can't find one, I'll sell them on Craigslist. My FFFC - I'll sell formula on Craigslist but would never in a million years buy it from there.
Another confession - this is the first New Year's we'll be home. LO was sleeping through the night for a few weeks but he's back to being up 2x a night and I just want to sleep. I don't care the New Years. I didn't care to much about Christmas that much either. Our present to LO was making in a blanket - and the material is still sitting in the store bag.

Yikes, I've woken up twice super engorged and I couldn't even sleep through the pain it hurt so bad. I literally had to get out of bed and pump that second because my boobs hurt so bad. I don't think I could not nurse or pump each night...but I guess your body will adjust and stop producing then?
My FFFC continues from my rant yesterday...I really hate my FI right now and wish I had the courage to "accidentally" throw a baseball bat at his computer, PS3, video games, etc so that he would "accidentally" be a better father to our daughter.
I had a convo about this with my friends that have new baby's and they are dealing with the same thing with their husbands...men just seem to think their lives won't change one bit when the baby comes. Yah right idiots!

I told my H at one point that I was ready to throw his laptop out the window. He got the point after that. He stills goes in the basement and plays on the Xbox, but that is after the baby is in bed and the kitchen is clean. He can stay up till whatever hours of the night that he wants to, he's just not allowed to complain about being tired. Since I've gone back to work, I also make him do the 6am feedings everyday. We'll see how long his late nights last...bwhahaha.

I am the most well-rested new mom I know. DD usually sttn but even if she doesn't, DH gets up with her. He loves that time with DD, and I like to sleep! He got up with DD1 too.
my confession is that I'm not nearly as nice to him as I should be!
We haven't bathed LO as often as I think we should. I think we have bathed him 6 or 7 times in 8 weeks. I just find it difficult and uncomfortable for ME right now, and can't figure out how to make it easier.
Ditto this! But, it's not that it's uncomfortable for me. LO likes bath time too. For me, I just don't see the use in doing it more than once every 3 days. He doesn't get dirty. If he spits up, I wipe him down with a wet cloth. I go with the "feet smell like toe jam = bath day" method.
Also, sometimes our LO wears the same outfit for like a day and a half. If he hasn't spit up all over it, sweated, and hasn't pee'd or pooped through, I don't see the rush in changing outfits.
Now that I write both of these statements, I feel like people are going to think we are allowing our LO to be dirty. I swear, he isn't smelly or dirty!!! Haha

I'm tempted to do all the laundry for our family. Except dh's. If you can't pick up your clothes and put them in the d@mn hamper then they don't get washed.

We are the same way! I learned super fast that over bathing a baby causes major dry skin issues. My poor DS battled eczema for at least the first 3 yrs of his life. Ditto to not changing out of clean clothes either! What is the point except to try and see if you actually get wear out all of their outfits before LO grows out of them in a week? Like pp, I would probably suck at being a SAHM too.

Another confession is that I am seriously becoming an online shopaholic. Amazon prime makes it so easy to buy something and have it 2 days later - even something little. UPS is at my house almost every day. Yet another reason why I cannot be a SAHM.

I have probably eaten more chocolate and junk food in the last 9 weeks of my life than I have in the last 9 years. Not gonna come close to fitting into my work clothes in a few weeks. Guess that means I'll have to buy a new wardrobe!

After reading so many posts on TB about DHs / SOs who are really into video games, I am so thankful for my H, who only plays World of Warcraft about once a week, and it's mainly to socialize with his brother.
My FFFC - Just now was the first time I put DS in an outfit that didn't snap up or zip up the front. All his newborn and most of his 0 - 3 clothes are snap-up outfits. I love them! But I had to try out one of his bodysuit / pants combos. It took me so long to get him into it that my back hurt from bending over. But he looks great!

On this note, I think that women who complain about their husbands and video games have a husband problem - they shouldn't blame it on the games. It's not the video game creators fault for making them addictive. The husband should realize they need to buck up and step up to take care of the baby. My DH hasn't touched a video game since LO was born, and he was the type that was glued to them before.

If FI even so much as THINKS about getting another thing for his Jeep I might kick him in the face! He is constantly shopping for the next new thing to buy and it drives me nuts. At this rate we will never be able to buy a house!
Also, ditto on the bath and changing clothes thing. Why change his outfit if he got a tiny bit of spit up on it? He's just going to spit up on it again in 3 hours. I do change him if we are going out. I need to start bathing him more than every 3 days so he can get into a bedtime routine. Oh well! He's happy and healthy.

DS had an explosion in his diaper at 3am today and some got in his fleece pjs. It was probably the 4th time I got up with him at that point so I wiped the poop off his pjs changed his diaper and put him back in his crib.
My boobs have totally deflated now that I am done with BFing and pumping and I am WAY more sad than I should be. I used to have cute, perky boobs and now I just feel shlumpy dumpy. The tummy pudge doesn't help the look, but I'm not worried about that. Tummy pudge will go away. Boobs won't re-perk.
The FFC part of this is that I am 90% sure I will start putting aside a bit of money with each paycheck to pay for a bit of a lift after I have our second LO. I don't want to add to them, just have the lift and shape back. DH doesn't care at all and will think I'm insane once I tell him, but I want my cute boobs back! I probably won't even tell him about my savings until the time comes, otherwise he will try to talk me out of it.
DH plays video games while holding the baby. He's a super multi tasker
This. The only time his video game playing bothers me is when I'm bored and want to watch tv lol.
And after reading these posts I think I bathe my baby too much. She gets a bath at least once a day sometimes more if she throws up. But I only use soap every other day (if there's no throw up.) and I put lotion on after and her skin isn't dry at all. She loves her baths and so do I, its probably my favorite time of the day.
My confession: Some friends invited me out for New Year's Eve and FI has been promising me a night out for awhile now so I am seriously considering going even though I would be upset if it were the other way around.
Second confession: I cried the other day when some maternity jeans were too small. They were one's a friend had given me and I only wore them like once when I was like 4 mo pregnant but still I expected them to fit.

Unlike PP my FFFC is that I bathe my LO way too much. I only use soap every other day, but she likes the bath so much that I sometimes will give her one just to make her happy. I know that's lazy parenting, but when she's screaming it's an out.
