Lakenau Hospital vs Delaware County Memorial

I am trying to decide where I want to give birth. I haven't had a baby in 16 years and I was at Bryn Mawr when I had her. I really liked Bryn Mawr but would rather not travel as far this time around since at age 43 I want to be as close as possible in the event there are complications.

Any experiences (bad and good) are appreciated.

    I delivered at DCMH almost 2 years ago and the L&D, maternity and nursery nurses were terrific.  I spent about 40 hours in L&D, and I cannot tell you how wonderful and caring the nurses were.  The only thing thing I did not like was that they wouldn't let me keep the epidural while I was pushing.  I have asked everyone I know that delivered a DCMH and within the last 5 years they have done this. 

    Since we are now TTC number 2, I would like to know if they do this at Lankenau also.  TIA

    Hi Thanks for your reply. Since I made that post yesterday I went to see my RE today for blood work and she said the pregnancy hormone did not double as it should since I had blood work on Tuesday and basically there is a strong possibility I could miscarry. I am being prayerful and have faith that all will be okay. (I had to vent about that so sorry)..I say all that to say this, I have scheduled a tour of the Lankenau maternity (its for February) and I PLAN to be there. I will find out during the tour and let you know.
