I told my husband but I can't tell my mom yet (since she is currently at her doctor's appointment getting chemo) and this is too silly to tell much of anyone else, but everything is going wonderfully today.
Baby is now right on with size, when two weeks ago the midwife was concerned about size. No need for an extra ultrasound.
I have my pre-registration papers filled out. They just need to go into the mail box. Actually, scratch that--they have it available online. Even better.
I called up the pediatrician's office where I want to go. They accept my insurance and they told me how to set up our first appointment.
I've called the local fire department about setting up an appointment and am waiting to hear back from them.
I'm finally on my weekly appointments, which just means that things are quickly winding down.
Oh, and I get 6.75 hours of overtime this week from picking up an extra shift at a store right down the road (instead of my 20 mile drive to work). And with that, I bought our pack n play and will be picking up my glider, as well.
Normally, DH complains that I procrastinate--and I do! So this feels as though I'm finally finishing up some things, though there is still so much more to do. All these lists here of what people still have left makes me nervous, because I look at mine and think of everything I haven't done.
Another reason I'm happy: I also get to see my parents today/tomorrow; after chemo, they visit us before going back home, which is 3 hours away.
Re: I'm happy--I feel so accomplished
oh crap! i havent talked to our Pedi yet! I need to call today!
Its our pedi for my toddler, so it wont be an issue but I think she has to sign some paper saying she will care for LO right?
Mine just said to call after the baby was born, with no extra paperwork (other than what you would expect for a new patient) involved. They said I can give the hospital their name and number. Most of the peds in our area do not have hospital privileges and our son will be seen by the hospitalist until we are discharged.
Hopefully your process is not too much of a hassle.
