Bloody Show?

I had some bright red spotting this morning, doctor's office said sounds like the bloody show(but to call if I bleed more, which I haven't) and to keep an eye out for contractions...yikes!

    I had my first exam on Wed. Made me lose MP and there was some blood but it quickly went away. Hope all is okay!

    This is not meant to freak you out, but my OB has always said that bloody show should be brown/pink tinged. The only time I called with bright red spotting (38w4d), I was told to come in immediately. I was induced that day. Bright red spotting could be a sign of placental abruption. It is one thing to spot after an exam and then to spot bright red for no reason. I would get a second opinion! But this is just me, knowing what happened with my own situation. Good luck! :-)

    I had the same thing happen yesterday, I had an internal exam at 2pm and by 6pm I had a bright red toilet and contacted my dr. I was told to go to L&D and was kept overnight for observation. I was and still am 3cm dilated but since the contractions lessened and no water breaking or further dialation I was sent home. You should definately contact your doctor. They were happy I came in as bright red spotting can be triggered by several things. I had hoped it was the beginning of labor but guess LO isn't ready yet. Oh well, another day.
