sucking bruise?

does anyone else have bruises around their nipples from breastfeeding?

    I had one when I got home from the hospital with DD1. It was because she was latched wrong at one point and was sucking on just my areola (my nipple wasn't in her mouth). I didn't realize it in my sleep-deprived state. You can check out www.kellymom.com for instructions on proper latching techniques.

    Yes, I've had that.  I've also gotten a blister from her latching wrong.  At the time I didn't notice it but Later I questioned where it came from.  I know that BF gets easier but I wonder if my nipples will ever look the same.  Good Luck!
