I've been trying to give my baby food, and usually do it about an hour after she wakes up for breakfast (she has her bottle first thing). I'm finding she resists being in the highchair and often doesn't want to eat the food I give her. I'm guessing she's probably not hungry, since she had her bottle an hour before. Thoughts? At night, I find her to be fussy, and again, protest the highchair. Suggestions appreciated! Thank you!
Re: When do you feed baby? Hates highchair!
We had the highchair issue. LO would not have anything to do with it and when I did make him sit in it (thinking maybe he would calm down), he would scream the whole time. He wouldn't eat his food or his bottle. So I assume he just hated his highchair...
I realized maybe he just wasn't used to the chair and needed to "break it in", lol. For about a week, while I cooked my lunch, I'd let him sit in his highchair with a hand full of toys to occupy him. The first few days tore me up a little, but hey, he's gotta eat in that chair eventually!! About half way through the week, he wouldn't cry at all when I tried sitting him in it, he also did okay without toys!
He loves that chair now
maybe you should try that? It can't hurt...
