Ok, I have to admit that there are a few non-names that I like. I wouldn't actually use them but I do like them.
For a boy I like Jace. It's trendy, made up, straight from teen mom, and I secretly like it.
I feel the same way about Tenley for a girl.
Anyone else have any bad name confessions?
Re: Confession- Names I shouldn't like
Mariposa. It is too hippy-dippy even for me, but I love all the sounds in it (I have an absolute obsession with m, a, the i pronounced like an "ee" and the o) and DD would loooove to have a little sister with a name like this.
I actually think Apple is really cute!
Edit: spelling.
I love the name Jace. I don't think there is anything wrong with liking it and I disagree that it is a "made up" name (although in thinking about it, I am not even sure what "made up" name really means since in reality all names are made up by someone at some point.) Also, I don't watch Teen Mom and therefore, I didn't know until reading the posts on this board there was a boy named Jace on the show. A person I knew years ago named her son Jace and I've seen it used for characters in several books.
I love Olivia so much. It's way too popular but I always come back to it.
I love Luna. Like super, duper love it.
Anna- I like Mariposa as well, I almost put it on the M names post. It is super cutesy and sets her up for as a lifelong butterfly gift recipient.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I love Sebastian!! But every time I say it "under the sea" starts to play in my head. Hubby would never go for it
Proud Mama to cleft cutie
Dec '12 & Jan '15
For a girl, I love Breckyn - superfluous Y included! I would never use it because I know it's really awful, but I still love it. It's actually kind of embarrassing to admit to...
LOVE poster's guilty pleasure name Mariposa - so beautiful!
Aghh I have so many!
GIRLS: Cadence, Natalia, Serenity, Hadley, Delany
BOYS: Jace (my DS is Chase so that could never work), Zander (only with a Z), Maverick, Hunter, Jax
...I could keep going
Calvin, Hugo and Klein for boys. But since we already used Levi, we have banned any names that have a commercial association.
Laney, Lorelai and Paris for a girl. Probably would never go with an "L" name because DS's name starts with L. I love Paris, but don't know if I like the association to Paris Hilton.
Girls- Landry, Isabella, Honor, Blake, Berkeley
Boys- Rocco, Knox, Pax
I like the names Tuesday and Wednesday for a girl. No way I'm doing that, but I like it.
And my married last name is Brown so I often tell people if I have a daughter, I'll name her Cinnamon Brown.
I love Paris and Chanel (not because of the brand, but because I admire the woman as a creative force).
Olivia is one of my favorites, but is the name of one of DH's cousins and is a bit too popular.
I would totally name my kid Jasper (Twilight be DAMNED!), but DH doesn't like the name.
I cannot endorse this Jace trend... It's what I call DH for short. I cannot imagine it being someone's full name.
My GP names are Chapel for a girl and Leslie and Lindsay for boys.
I have always thought this too.
I also like Story, but would never have the courage to use it. Same with Wednesday. I wish I had the courage to have a Wednesday "Winnie" I joked for months to my mother that if we had a girl I was naming her Wednesday.
I also love Declan, but it straight up practically rhymes with our last name- which is like Weston. I was all set to name DS this until DH was like, "Um, honey..."
Tenley is my top name right now...if u love it use it! Btw Tenley is actually the name of an olympic skater from the 50s so while it may be made up its has been around for a while...the bachelorette just boosted its popularity.
I love Declan as well...
Unique names are great!
I adore Paisley!! I think it would make the cutest little girl's name....but not so sure it would grow to fit her as an adult. I think, though, that since this a guilty pleasure name, I'd change it to Paisleigh just for the heck of it! LOL!
