Green Poop

DS is ebf and lately is having green poop. It's not every time but it's green more then it's yellow. Should I be worried?

Re: Green Poop

  • I've read that green poop indicates that LO is getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk.  I would verify by posting on BFing board, but I know it's been asked before and I'm pretty sure you'll get the same response.

  • I've been noticing green-ish poop lately....but then I googled images of green poop and my LO's poop is not that dark shade of green. Not too fun to look at the images but it reassured me. I've also read that it is more of a concern if it is consistently green

This. Mine has been going through the same thing. He only wants to nurse for a short period of time because he'd rather sleep. So he has very green poops for the last couple of days. Try to keep LO nursing 15-20 minutes on one side then switch.
