How is Riley doing? I have been thinking about you. How goes it with the IV fluids? I know how difficult that was for us. Hope Riley is doing a bit better.
M-43 DOR (FSH 20 AMH 0.16, AFC 4-6) Endo stage III DH-42 (low everything)
TTC #1 unofficially since 6/09, officially since 10/10
6/11 RE testing,rt tube blocked with hydro, 8/11 lap surgery rt tl
IVF#1 10/11 Estrace,450 Follistim, 15 units low-dose HCG, DHEA - cancelled (only follie growing)
IVF#2 started stims 11/4/11 - same protocol, increase in concentration of HCG, added CoQ10, no response, cancelled on CD 12
12/2/11 began accupuncture; Break in Dec. Next cycle anticipated in Jan.

    Hi,

    Thanks for asking. He is doing a bit better. He looks a lot more comfortable sleeping, is using the litter box and he let me brush him to make him "prettier".  I spoon fed him last night and he ate off a plate this morning so that made me smile.  I was able to give him the fluids yesterday (had to change the needle twice and sprayed some liquid when I couldn't turn off the line quick enough) but this morning didn't go so well.  He was moving a little since he is feeling a bit better and I just need more hands to pull up the skin, get the needle in, then turn on the line.  He moved, I ended up sticking myself!  I only got about 25ml in before I threw in the towel to try again tonight with DH's assistance!!

    DH called before to say he was sleeping on the floor of the closet which makes me a little nervous. Hoping he just wanted some darkness to sleep...

    I'm just doing one day at a time to see how his quality of life is.

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    Excuse me for butting in.  One day at a time is about all you can do McIrish.  Here's hoping with DHs help you have some fluid success tonight.  Maybe Riley will eat a good dinner to.  Keep us posted.  Thinking of you.

    I was wondering the same thing!  IF has been good practice in taking things one day at a time.
    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome

    One day at a time is definately all you can do. You know in your heart you are doing all you can. As for needing an extra pair of hands - absolutely!!! - I wouldn't even have attempted it alone - I think I had 2-3 others helping me and it was still hell. (my aunt held the bag, my cousin turned the valve and I think once my uncle did the injection while I held my Shadow - it was nuts, but I did what I had to do just like you are) It sucks because they can't understand this is for their own good and giving the IV fluids to a difficult kitty is no joke. I really wish you all the best and hope that between the two of you there is more success tonight. :-) T&P will continue. sending lots of hugs and strength your way.

    Single Mother by Choice. Life didn't work out the way I planned so I did it on my own. IUI #s 1-3, unmedicated = BFN, IUI #s 4-6, 50mg Clomid, Ovidrel = BFN IVF #1: 23R, 20M, 17F. 5 day transfer 2 blasts. 2 Snowbabies BFP 6dp5dt, Beta #1 7dp5dt = 58, Beta #2 9dp5dt = 114, Beta #3 10dp5dt = 187 1st Ultrasound = 5/3, not much to see yet. 2nd Ultrasound = 5/17, TWINS!!! Hospital Bed Rest at 32 weeks due to pre-ecclampsia and severe edema. Audrey Grace, 5lbs9oz, & Lydia Louise, 6lbs, born via emergency c-section on 12/6/12 at 36w1d My IVF Journey

    Finally on the 5th needle of the day, I was able to do it with DH's help.  Riley wasn't really the problem- I was just afraid to stick him and kept doing it wrong and had to keep getting new sterile needles!!! Hopefully tonight will be a "one needle night", LOL!!

    He was cleaning his paws this am and that made me smile that he is trying to groom again.

    Married April 2010 TTC since ME 37 (DOR) DH 27 AMH 0.16 FSH fluctuation 30/6.2 SSH Clear Taking DHEA BCP 8/17/11 IVF #1 start 9/3/11 - Follistim (225),Lupron,and Lo dose HCG Converted to IUI only had 2 follies :( BFN BCP 9/28 IVF 1.2 start 10/11/11 - Follistim 450 + lo dose HCG
    Converted to IUI only had 1 follie :( BFN BCP 11/3 IVF 1.3 start 11/13/11 - Follistim (300)+Menopur+Dexamethasome - Made it to ER:) but not ET:( embies stopped growing day 3 IVF#2 new RE Estrace 12/8 adding in Provera 12/23 until 1/1 menopur,follistim,dexamethasome,ganerelix ER scheduled for 1/17wewBFFN w We are pursuing donor egg. 8/20/12 Had hysteroscopy to remove polyp but found that i have a t shaped uterus. Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.

    Thanks hon.  I hope you are doing ok. I have been in your situation but not with young animal. The heartbreak is awful.
