How did it go?

About a week ago, someone posted about how her husband hadn't gotten her anything for Christmas. A few others chimed in about the lack of thoughtful gifts (or gifts entirely) from their husbands. I'm just curious...how did Christmas go for you ladies? Did your husbands come through? Call me nosy, but I've really been wondering what happened.

    My DH totally rocked it this year. He got me diamond stud earrings because most of my earrings dangle and he wanted me to have something pretty that Nolan couldn't pull out of my ears. When he took me shopping for those, he also got me a chocolate chip cookie and milk. Then on Christmas morning, he woke me up with a book of letters that new moms wrote in with solutions to simple problems like what to do when you can't find baby's binkie. On the inside he wrote "To: Mommy. Love: Daddy and Nolan."

    Normally I pick out my own Christmas gifts from him (we both like it that way) but this year he insisted on doing it himself and he did awesome.

    My husband was awesome.  He got me a food processor that I've been wanting for a while, so I can make my homegrown sauce a little easier (and we can make baby food!)  He also got me a beautiful diamond necklace and a perfume that he knows I've wanted for a while, but would never buy for myself (Tocca's 'Stella')  He's a pretty good guy!

    I had a great Christmas too, a diamond solitaire necklace,  the PPB diaper bag I wanted,  He and DS also made me a beautiful hand print from DS. Which made me sob. I felt very loved. image

    My husband is adorable...Friday I mentioned something about our stockings & that his was going to be full of silly things. He looks at me and goes "You mean we get things to go in the stockings"...um, yeah. So he runs out to Target (the day before Christmas, no less) to get stocking stuffers. Comes back with 3 bags full of stuff. Not one thing actually fit in my stocking...he got things like a 70 oz bag of Sour Patch Kids...compared to my 3 oz bag for his stocking. It was so cute...It was our first Christmas as a married couple, so there's a little learning curve. But, he's adorable!

    J is a pretty good gift giver. I don't know what I was so worried about...

    I got a really nice camera, and a beautiful necklace. He has really good taste in jewelry, surprisingly.

    I was one of the women whose husbands had forgotten them in years past.

    This year, I got a ton of puzzles and a puzzle storage system which I wanted, jewerly, stuff for the kitchen that I have been wanting but just hadn't bought for myself, a collage frame for pics of the boys and the best gift of all - my son wrote all of the Tos and Froms on the packages.  I need to get a frame for one of them as he was VERY successful at it.  made me cry.
