I have a Vera Bradley baby bag. It's really cute and not too big. It also has tons of compartments that I'm sure I will need.
I have the Vera Bradley Baby Bag also. I like all the pockets, the shoulder straps are long enough to actually go over your shoulders, and the lining is nice too (it can easily be wiped out).
I love my Vera Bradley Diaper bag! I got it with ds #2 and have carried it every day for the last 14months. I love that the outside pockets hold my phone, wallet, keys, and chap-stick so it's my purse too. I plan on using it for this one too unless dh gets the hint and buys me the one that's on clearance on the Vera web site I love for mothers day There are some older patterns on sale for $29, $39, $49 and $59 which is great since the normal price is $99
Some popular brands are Ju Ju Be, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Bumble, Oi Oi, and Skip Hop. The first four are on BabySteals quite a bit, so you could start watching for deals now if you don't want to pay full price. Gilt and Zulily are two other sites to check too. We don't have to buy a lot of new stuff since this is baby #2, so I might splurge on a more expensive bag like a Kate Spade or Storsak.

For me, the number one thing to look for in a baby bag is pockets. You can never have too many. We have:
Skip Hop Duo: This is nice to have in the beginning when you feel like you need to carry 9287529 things with you. We got it in Olive so H can wear it, and he still wears it if we're gone somewhere for a long time and I am wearing DS.
Vera Bradley: Not the actual baby bag, because I don't like the patterns. But a black microfiber one with awesome pockets on the side that are perfect size for sippies. I've had it since DS was born and it still looks new.
I'll be getting a Timi and Leslie for this baby, since like PP I'm splurging I asked about them on the gear board and everyone had great things to say about the quality, plus I like bags that look like purses.
Thankyou so much all of you for your advice on bags. I decided to go with the Vera Bradley one because they are having their winter sale so I go the baby bag in Mesa Red (Originally $100) for $39.99! I am glad I ordered it when I did b/c they are out of stock in it now as soon as I ordered it! I liked the pattern b/c it looked like it would work for a boy being a bandana red-I LOVE vera bags and thought since this one didn't look Uber feminine that my husband wouldn't mind carrying it when he had to but he already said absolutely not. LOL He's always hated my vera purses too-oh well We can get him his own. Thanks again so much you guys it really helped me out immensely!!! I never would have known that Vera was having their sale if it wasn't for you! Y'all are awesome on here!

I have a Kate Spade black bag and I love it. It looks more like a large purse, which is what I wanted.
It will be easier to narrow down once you decide what your price point is and the style of bag (tote, messenger, back pack, etc.).
My friend works at a Coach store and hoooooooked me up.
I got a Coach diaper back in solid black leather. It looks more like a purse, but DH is fine with carrying it with the baby.
