I thought I posted this already and was checking for replys so I guess I didn't? I feel crazy but anyway. I was curious for those of you that have breastfed your twins or plan to. Did you bf infront of inlaws/family/friends and just cover up? I only lasted with DD about two months and I remember going to inlaws or being home and bf in another room FOREVER because I was afraid of "offending" someone. I can't go through that again. I'm curious how you feel about this. I will bf again but I would love to hear your advice.

Re: Those of you who have bf. How did you handle family/inlaws?
I was super weird about BFing. I was all about BFing and pumping, but I wouldn't do it in front of anyone except my mom or DH. I also hating talking about it. It still floors me the amount of people who think BFing is an acceptable converstation topic with a co-worker or acquaintence.
Thankfully I was alone most of the time, so it wasn't an issue to have to leave the room.
I'm planning to try tandem bfing. My mom and MIL are planning to help out a lot in the beginning. They'll get to witness the loveliness. If other people are over, I'll move to another room.
I'm not particularly comfortable with bfing in front of others, but I lost some of that modesty when I had DS. I had some complications and wasn't able to care for him on my own for a few weeks, so MIL and my mom have already seen all there is to see.
It's funny, I'm totally fine BF in public, covered or uncovered (discreetly). However, I know it would make my dad, BIL and nephews uncomfortable so I'll probably either cover up or go in another room at home.
That said I never got milk with DD so I didn't get much of a chance to work things out before, so I hope I can do it at all with these guys.
I tandem fed for 1 year and never BF in front of friends or family. I always went in a different room because I didn't want to feel like a circus freak. It was a pain, but it was the only way I was comfortable. I had no problem feeding my singleton in front of people w/ a nursing cover, but I felt different w/ the twins.
