Our 32 weeks Angels have Arrived

hi everyone, i'm new to this board!

Kendall Rose & Brynn Marie decided to make an early arrival on Thursday December 22nd at only 32 weeks 5 days. Kendall was born at 12:15pm weighing 3 pounds 15 ounces and 16 1/2 inches long.  Brynn was born at 12:17pm weighing 3 pounds 14 ounces 16 inches long.

Both girls are breathing on their own. Kendall is eating and getting stronger each day, while Brynn has been giving us a hard time with eating her food. :( She has had lots of residual when they feed her and is not really holding it down. They've done xrays and put her on a PICC line to help, but so far no answers. Today they're trying to feed her again so we're praying she finally starts to take some of it.

Any of you experiance this with your preemie and then it got better?

Any extra T&P you may have please send them our girls way. I'm hoping they both have as short a stay as possible and can be home w/ us soon!

Thanks!

  • Hello, welcome to the boards and congratulations on such beautiful girls!

The preemie moms have put together a blog that you might find comforting. There is a link to it in my siggy as well as on the main (preemie) page.

We didn't have similar prem issues to yours - now, if bradys become a big deal I'll be your girl ;)

  • Congratulations!! They are precious and I love their names!! Hope they continue to do well :)

Thank you! Brynn is doing much better since yesterday. She has been taking in 5mls each feeding w/out any residual, they just Upped her to 10mls today so hopefully she holds that down and keeps up the good work. We want to catch her up to her sister so they both can be off they're IV's / PICC Line and get closer to coming home! :)
