Babynames.com released the top names of 2011... I can't believe how far down last years top names (Jacob and Isabella) dropped! Anyone thinking of names yet?
We have a girl name picked out that we will use 100% sure (after his late maternal grandmother). Happy to see it's pretty far down on that list. (Ruby, middle name June)
We've been bouncing around a boy's name but not 100% on it yet. That name is also far down the list. (Charles or "Charlie", not sure about middle name)
blahhh Liam is #1!! My 4 year old DS is named Liam! I picked it to be unique that's crazy!
It might just be where I live, but I don't know a lot of Liams! I teach preschool and have only had 1. I see more Maxwells and Joshuas than anything else!
for a girl I am leaning towards Ella Louise or Alison Louise (I really like Allie for short) the Louise runs in my family, it is all of the girls middle names. Not sure for a boy yet, maybe Connor Joseph.

DH and I are for sure doing Dexter if its a boy, and Zoey if its a girl...(I wanted Zooey, but DH says people will pronounce it "ZOO-EE"...) I am a huge fan of Zooey Deschanel.

Every time I think I've picked a decently unique name, but not strange, I find out it's in the top 100 :-(
My DH wants to do really common names like Michael, and Victoria, ect. He grew up being the only person with his name, when I was growing up there were 10 Amanda's in my grade only, so personally I don't like having such a common name.
Both of our DC's names have gotten so popular! When we chose the names they were #80 or higher. Now, Finn is #30 and Harper is #10. Both have had other kids in their class with the same names. Boo. This time, we have a boy's name picked out but are stumped for a girl.
Our boys name is decided, Jordan Bradford. I didn't see it on the list. But our girls are up in the air. I love Chole Ann or Harlow Ann, he likes Olivia Ann.

Just remember that this is not the official Social Security list and only applies to people who registered on this site. I am not how representative it is of the population at large.

Yup, this. This list is usually waaay different than the SSA list. I have a Liam too, and 2010 SSA list had it around 32-ish, but it was 6-ish on this site.
My boyfriend and I pickedMorrison Wesley C. If its a boy and were still discussing girls. I like Harlow the most, and we agree on Memphis but I'm going to keep pushing Harlow! No middle names yet.
DS1 is Iain, the common Irish spelling(Ian) is #54 on the list.
The names for this one aren't even on the list. We are leaning toward Nigel Arran for a boy. Our girl name has been picked since before ds1, River Miranda.
Our top picks right now are Jackson for a boy and Ella for a girl. But we want to see our baby before we name him/her. Boy back up is Mason and I'm working on girl back up Greer (hubby is not to keen but he doesn't like unique names) The more I think of Greer the more I like it though.

We picked out our names in the months of TTC, (we had to do something while we were waiting) Elijah for the boy not decided on the middle and Evangeline Noelle for the girl (which means good news and Christmas).
We are pretty set on our boy name: Chase Dylin B. (The "lin" is significant in family names, thus the spelling)
For a girl we argue. I like Annelise, he likes Brooke. Not only likes, he is STUCK on Brooke.
Luckily we have lots of time to argue...
I want to use Chase Matthew! I love the name Chase and Matthew is my Fiance's name so we want to use it. Of course he says "Chase? Where are we chasing him too"? UGHHH men!!
