In 2012, I would like.....

Now that 2011 is coming to an end, what are your goals/hopes/dreams for 2012?

 

Mine are:

1. To be matched with a sibling group.

2. To get the finishing touches done on our house. 

3. To take a family vacation this summer.

    1.) a baby

    2.) to find a new hobby

    3.) stop feeling sorry for myself and our situation  

    Pursing Domestic Infant Adoption through a local agency. In the meantime, our dog is our baby.  Bumping from Portland, Oregon.

    1. to finish our license and start taking foster placements.

    2. to potentially start the adoption process again?

    3. to love more, laugh more and give more of myself.

    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     1) Be matched with a baby :-)

    2) Get closer to finishing graduate school

    3) Find some more successful ways to deal with the waiting during the adoption process 

    Unable to conceive due to emergency hysterectomy 11/04 Started our adoption journey 4/11 9/29/11- Officially waiting! 5/29/12- Our little boy is born and goes home with us the next day :-)

    1) get back to healthy eating and exercising

    2) develop more relationships with women who have a child in the same age group

    3) decide my next move professionally

    1.  Be organized so I have less frantic times when the going gets tough.

    2.  From the organization, have more time, energy, and money to set forth great traditions for our baby girls (apple picking in the Fall,  searching for shells on the beach, etc).

    3.  Make some concrete future plans related to where we will live (should we leave Los Angeles?), my career, and my SAHM vs Working Mom status.... these are such hard decisions which impact all sorts of things in our lives.

    1. To take a nice family vacation

    2. To hear from Anna's birthmom that she is pregnant again and would like us to adopt Anna's sibling (this is a possibility, just not sure how likely at this point) 

    3. To remodel our master bathroom
