Nose Frida. The bulb only goes so far and only does so good. Bigger towels. The little hoodie ones are cute and work for a short time. I'm now having to go buy new ones because they just don't fit her anymore (and she's a peanut).
Oh yeah...and Aveeno diaper rash cream. All I got was butt paste which didn't work for us.

An automatic bouncy seat. I didn't even know they made these until DS was about a year old but that would have saved me a lot of cramps in my calf from bouncing the bouncy seat.

Well, nothing was ever bought from my registry because I had a crappy first shower, but the biggest thing I regret not getting period was a good breast pump. I knew I'd be a SAHM and not need pumped milk a lot, so I only got a manual pump, then after DS started teething he went on a short nursing strike where he would take the bottle, but it hurt to latch on. I couldn't keep up while he wasn't willing to latch and I dried up way earlier than i'd hoped.
Also, some kind of actual nursing pillow. I tried to get away with just regular pillows but they were always shifting around and giving me trouble, so my back was all out of whack while we were breastfeeding.
Cloth diapers. I was too chicken to try them the first time around. When I had DS, and more confidence, I went ahead full steam and it was so easy. I really regret wasting all that money on disposables.

Wipes warmer, I thought it was unnecessary but then I had a baby who freaked out whenever I changed her. I bought one and suddenly the screaming stopped. I also should have registered for a sound machine. Our house has paper-thin walls and once they get through the sleepy newborn phase, my kids are pretty light sleepers.

The only thing we had to go out and buy was a Miracle Blanket - DS broke out of every other swaddle there was (but hated to be unswaddled, go figure). Those velcro ones were no match for him even at 2 weeks old - he was a strong kid!

A sound machine, a good carrier/wrap (wish I would have researched these a little more), and I wish I would have looked more into cloth diapering. I'm thinking about doing it this time but it would have been a much better investment to do it for both.
ETA: I agree with pp about bigger hooded towels. Also, I wish I would have registered for sippy cups and snack containers.
bigger towels (the hooded ones became too small too fast), a sound machine (naptimes started to become difficult when my stepson moved in and now with his sound machine he takes a nice long nap again) and cloth diapers. I currently CD Zach and plan to CD this new baby, but I did not register for any. I totally should have. Also a moby wrap. I bought it when Zach was about 3 months old and I wish I had one all along. He had minor reflux and hated to be put down. It would have been a lot easier first three months if I could have worn him more in the beginning.
My birthson who came before I was ready. He doesn't call me mom but I love him just the same. ~7/10/99~

^^^This. It is nice being able to tell if I'm really needed in the room, or if DS is just making noise/talking while he sleeps.
