Kia Sedona anyone? Or van suggestions

Since within a few weeks we will have have 3 kids that will either be in a booster or car seat we have made the decision to get a van.
Does anyone have experience w/ a Sedona?  They seem to be reasonably priced but I have no experience w/ Kia.

If not a Kia then what van would you suggest?
Thanks!

  • Never thought this surfer girl would ever drive a van...but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Chrysler Town and Country.

  • We have been thinking about this too.

Ours are 7, 2, and 1. DH has a Silverado and the extended cab has lots of room, but I have a Taurus. I have to put the kids in, in a certain order, than pull car seats to the side to buckle the previous seat, than ram everything together so the doors will shut. I've been doing this for a year and it makes me wince every time I have to pack the kids up.

I have been eyeing the Town and Country since I had my first LO.

But the Sedona's are nice looking and cheaper I would imagine.

Excuse me while I go smash my husbands Xbox...
  • Love my 2011 Toyota Sienna!

  • Love my sienna too!!  We all of the sudden are outgrowing our house and car- so we splurged on the car- brand new w/ dvd and all  and we're just going to make do w/ the house.   It's AWD, which is quite handy in Washington state!  Not many others have that option.
  • My cousin has the Kia Sedona and really likes it. They did a lot of research before they purchased, and felt it was the best fit for their family and budget.
  • From the wife of a mechanic, I'd say avoid buying a Chrysler van. That includes the Dodge Caravan. They are laden with problems. My H's fave minivan is the Honda Odyssey; even a used one is a smarter buy than a new vehicle from some of the other manufacturers. Kia was not known for having good quality for some time, but is now manufactured by Hyundai so they are expected to be better and have less problems in the long run. We considered getting the new Kia Sorrento before deciding we'd probably be better of with a minivan, so now we are probably going with the Odyssey. (We didn't look at the Sedona, but only because we weren't thinking minivan at the time.)

  • We found a great deal on a used, loaded Nissan Quest. I tested a Sedona and didn't like it. It just didn't feel right. And handled like a beast.
