Manual pump recommendation

 Hey gals, I was just reading a post about the poster forgetting their pump adapter at home when they went to work. One of the responders mentioned keeping a hand pump at work for such emergencies.

I was wondering if you would recommend your hand pump and do you know if manual pumps are safe to use second hand.

    I just bought a Medela Harmony, but haven't used it yet.

    For the price of a manual, I would just buy new. They aren't more than $40 or $50, depending on the brand. Just like most electric pumps aren't recommended for more than one user, the manuals are single-user pumps.
