Isn't sucralose an artificial sweetener?

I thought my hot chocolate tasted funny, so I looked at the ingredients...sucralose. I went to buy new stuff today and was quite surprised to see it in other brands too. Is this pretty common now? I thought artificial sweeteners were only used in low-sugar/sugar-free type foods.

Yep, it's in Quaker flavored rice cakes, too. And Hawaiin Punch, but most adults probably aren't drinking that :P I don't know how they can get away with using it in non-diet foods, I feel like it should be labeled.

I remember when you posted about the fruit punch! I totally agree with the fact that it should be labeled somewhere on the packaging.

You would probably be surprised at the amount of artificial sweeteners in foods across the board. They are even changing the names of some of them so people will think they are natural. Read everything!! Google the stuff you don't understand. The food industry in general is very deceptive in their marketing/packaging/labeling.
