15 week old fighting me

1 of my girls fights me when I am trying to feed her. She acts like she is starving at times & I giver her the bottle, she will take a few ounces burp but then doesn't want it back. If she takes it back, she flails around & acts like she is miserable. Then she will go back to sucking a few seconds, then repeat.

I was reading the 4 mth old teething post & this has me curious b/c she is drooling as well.

I have tried different bottles, nipples, nipple size etc. Anyone else have this issue?

    DS does this-and it can be really frustrating, so I know how hard it is.  He screeches, but is hungry, but then flails around so you don't know what to do!  We try to burp as much as we can, and sometimes that helps.  We notice that it is worse at night (the 4:30 and 7:30-ish) feedings.  We haven't found anything that makes it go away, so I just try my hardest to talk to him calmly and hold on to his hands. 

    I'm sorry you are going through this as well!

    Yes it is typically the later feedings but my mom called me today to tell me she was doing it at her 11:30 feeding.

    My girls' acid reflux peaked between 3-4 months, so that could be one possibility. They are hungry, but it can be painful to eat/burp if the acid is bothering them. Does she cry/scream while eating or after burping? Or does she arch her back? Those might be some other signs. We ended up putting a little rice cereal in their bottles once we discussed with pedi. Good luck!

    I agree with pp's. I think it sounds like acid reflux or colic possibly. My boys started teething around 4 months but never got their first tooth until around 6 months. The teething never bothered them or woke them at night, however, the acid reflux/colic and projectile vomiting was a major issue until about 8 months.

    One of my little guys does this as well. He is on Zantac for reflux which helped for a while, but he has been acting up again so when we go for their 4 mos appt I will ask about upping the dosage as it is weight based. He also HATES to lay on his back in the boppy which can also be a sign of reflux to watch for. I would mention it to your pedi and see what they think. Good luck and hope you get some answers :)

    Thanks ladies!

    They are on Prevacid for their reflux but they haven't been since their 2 mth check up so their weight is different maybe their meds need to be increased. I will def ask.
