I am at the point of trying anything

38 week appt today and I am only at 1cm - at least it's a whole cm this time.

There is an Italian restaurant in my area that has become known for it's Eggplant Parmesan inducing labor within 24-48 hours. Since I am just so impatient with this child, DH has agreed to take me out for eggplant, most likely followed by a more intimate supposed labor inducer. I am just so ready to meet my little guy!

    I am also in Cincy. DH was just telling me (he works at Wright Patterson) that there is a nail salon that offers some pedicure that ALL of the women at his base swear induces labor. I will try to find the name of it. It's in Dayton, I know that much. I remember 38 weeks, I was trying anything and everything, too!

    I have my doubts about whether it will work at this stage (I seem to remember one article saying that all the women were within a few days of their due dates), but the restaurant is Pitrelli's in Mason.

    Actually when DH's cousin was looking for a labor-inducer, I mentioned the place. My MIL remembered us talking about it and bought us gift certificates from restaurant.com for Christmas! She's an enabler!

    No rush here, right now. I desperately want him to keep put until 37 weeks. I had preterm labor that they stopped, twice, with DS. But after 38 weeeks, their lungs are matured and I think it's fun to try natural ways of induction to get them out. :-)

    I'm not necessarily in a rush either. I am totally cool if he wants to stay in there and continue to bake. I am just getting so anxious to meet him. And DH keeps telling me how unfair it is that I get to spend so much time with the baby and he wants him to come out soon!

    This. Two weeks in the grand scheme of things isn't that long. A little extra time is good for baby. He'll come when he's ready.

    I am so ready to have this baby and meet him or her :)    My sister-in-law took me to a Mexican Restaurant for lunch and my other sister-in-law (whos a massage therapist) is going to massage the pressure points on me to induce labor in a little while. Then, I very well may try to seduce my DH later tonight...I'll try anything at this point!
