2nd Trimester

Please remind me again....

I'm 11w3d and still feel as terrible as I did 5 weeks ago :'(  I am still throwing up several times per day.

How far along were you when your nausea went away?

  • Still going!

With DS it got better at around 16-20 weeks and was GONE by 20 weeks. This pregnancy (a girl) I'm still not feeling good and still gagging all the time.

  • I'm just starting to feel better. I still get sick a couple days a week but my appetite is finally coming back and I'm not getting sick every day. I'm pretty sure this is about the same time the M/S tapered off with my first too.

  • Probably closer to 13.5-14 weeks it started to get better. I still feel a tiny bit of morning sickness and some nausea after eating, but it's heaps better than in the first tri. Hang in there!

  • Pushing 18 weeks here and still not ready to come off the meds. It stuck around the entire time during my last 3 pregnancies so I expect the same this time too.

  • I have been consistently nauseous since week 5. I stopped throwing up at about 14 weeks once I got Zofran, but my nausea has not stopped.

With baby #2 (now) getting better but I am at 16+ weeks

     Hope you feel better soon!

  • 12 weeks, good luck, I know it's MISERABLE!!!!

  • Sorry, mama! I know how miserable it is. Sad

For me I was constantly nauseous every day and throwing up 5+ times a week from weeks 6-16. Then I went on an every-other week schedule for about a month (ie: weeks 17&19 were really bad again but the off weeks I felt mostly decent). The past couple of weeks have been pretty good, though I still get sick occasionally (such as last night) and I have a day or two every now and then where I'm feeling icky -but it's bearable.

GL & i hope it goes away for you soon!

  • 13.5 weeks with occasional bouts in the morning still
  • week 14 was the worst week for me, I was begging my doctor to let me take more than the prescribed amount of Zofran... then week 15 has been just a little nausea here and there- piece of cake =)

  • I'm 16 weeks and while the all day sickness faded around 13-14 weeks I'm still sick in the AM.

  • I'm 18 weeks and still getting sick.  It has gotten much better in the past few weeks and I have times throughout the day where I feel great, but I still get bouts of nausea and throw up a few times a week.  I have been taking Zofran since 7 weeks and am not sure if I should wean off or not since I'm still throwing up.

Good luck...I know how awful the m/s can be.

  • With my first It was fully gone by 22-23 weeks (but mostly gone by 20 weeks) with my first. It did come back a bit in 3rd tri for a few weeks randomly too.

With my second it was on and off the whole time. I had good weeks and bad weeks, so I just kept Zofran on hand because I never knew when it would creep up on me.

This time it's still going (but on and off) at 18 weeks. I've been Zofran 2x a day all week, it's been particularly rough so I'm hoping next week is better :(

  • I am 19 weeks....I have actually been diagnosis with Hyperemesis...I still do not keep food/water down..throwing up 7x plus a day, It is a good day when I only throw up 5x a day..I go in every 2 weeks to see my dr. and I've been hospitalized every other week since week 8.  I have spent $500 plus on prescription meds that do not help at all...I finally am on a 2 week basis getting IV fluids and Zofran through IVs...I will do this up until I give birth, but most people start to feel better around 20 weeks with occasionally having sickness...
