Size of shields

How do you know what size of shields to get?  I'd like to get some extra sets in advance, but I don't know if I'll just have to wait to figure it out based on how the regular ones fit? 

I pumped with DS, but I switched over to the softfit shields because the regular ones were too uncomfortable.  I'm wondering now if that's because they weren't really the right size.

    Your nipples shouldn't touch inside the flange at all while pumping.  I would think it would be hard to tell until you use one though because your nipples expand quite a bit while actually pumping.
