My OB used dermabond to close my incision, recovery has been okay. I'm almost 2 wks postpartum and get around pretty well, getting out of bed can cause pain and I do get sore often if I overdo it during the day.
I LOVED the dermabond. I was fully expecting staples because I didn't really look into/ask questions about a C-section with DS1 and was pleasantly surprised afterwards when I found out they used dermabond. I didn't have any issues with recovery except for I had blue gunk stuck to me for what felt like a month. When I could finally scrub, it still was hard to get off. I don't know if it contributed to the fact that my scar looks great, but, you can barely see the scar now (3.5 years later but even at about a year out, it looked great!).
I usually get awful keloids (spelling?) from any cut/scar, but withmy csection and another time I sliced open my hand, they used dermabond and the hand has no scar and the csection scar looks really good, just a thin line. I'm a big fan over staples or stitches!
Mine is starting to get easy to peel off now and I can actually see my scar. It looks so good! I had no trouble with it healing either. It was just weird having hair poking and growing through it, but I guess that would have happened in any case. I was just not used to having hair in that area! haha

I didn't have dermabond with my c/s, but I see a lot of post op pt's at work after various surgeries, and I will say that I am a huge fan of dermabond. I've yet to see a post op dermabond infection, I see a lot less post op complications period with dermabond. I'm actually hoping my OB uses it this time.

I had dermabond. My incision has now opened up twice. The first time was due to the doctor removing my steri strips too early (IMO-they took them off after only a week!), and this time due to infection. I had to have my wound packed every day for over a week the first time (this was at 2 weeks PP), but this time they're leaving the wound open to heal from the inside out. It is painful, and my scar will be worse, but at least I'm getting better now.
I was glued back together. Despite all the complications I had, none of them were related to an infected incision. It's only been 6 months and my scar is completely flat and only slightly purple in spots.
I like dermabond. They used it on my son when he got a gash on his forehead 2 years ago and there is no scar.

I had staples with my first and dermabond with my second. I definitely prefer the dermabond! Staples weren't necessarily bad or anything but it was nice not having to worry about having them removed and the incision has seemed to heal much quicker with the dermabond and looks much prettier at 7 weeks pp than it did with the staples. I had steristrips on for 5 days pp. They were really annoying and started to itch so I started messing with them in the shower every day and peeling off the ones that seemed loose. Started taking them off on day 5 and had them all off by day 7. My OB had told me to take them off at 1 week pp but not to worry if they started coming off on thier own before then so I figured it probably wouldn't be a big deal to help them along a bit. I had them with my staples too. Both times they came of by 1 week pp with no issues.

I had dermabond and nothing else. My sister had a c-section 9 months before me and my BFF had one 2 years before me. Both of them had dermabond and steri-strips. I was very worried that my guts were going to fall out, even knowing that I had stitches on the inside it scared me to death.
I feel like my recovery was good. I wouldn't say that it was great just because of me being terrified to sneeze, laugh, or cough.
My scar is minimal I guess. It does have a pinkish tint to it, but I expected that because of my skin tone.
