Hello - last year, we hosted DD's 2nd birthday party at my house, and we quickly realized our house just can't handle that many people, as we have lots of family, and about 15-20 little ones we need to invite, and once you add adults onto that it's easily 40-50 people total.
We are trying to think of other places to host DD's party this year for her 3rd birthday. We've looked at the "Pump It Up" places but once we add pizza and cake to the 'play time' we're topping the $500 mark, and I really didn't want to spend that much!
Any other ideas? We're stumped - thanks!
Re: Places for 3YO bday party? South of river?
Can you give a more specific area?
Some general ideas are a church, community center or does a family member live in an apartment complex with a party room?
Anywhere in the Eagan, Burnsville, Apple Valley area would be fine. We don't mind having to drive somewhere for the party, as long as it's in those general surrounding areas.

Invite less people or think about having it at a time of day where you don't need to serve a meal. Hosting parties is expensive, especially outside the home. Even if you find a cheap community center room or church hall, you're going to need activities for all those kids in addition to food.
We did a Pump It Up party for my older son and just hosted mid-afternoon with only cake and ice cream to eat. It was the best party ever. They took care of absolutely everything, from invitations to making a list of who gave what, which was awesome since our 3 yr old was only 10 days old at the time.
