Potential Rice Allergy/Intolerance

A friend has a 6mo DS who has had violent vomit/diarrhea episodes two hours after eating rice (rice cereal, Baby Mum Mums, baby food mix with brown rice flour). He has been fine with plain veggies. Do any of you have any resources for rice allergy/intolerance? We both Googled, but there wasn't very much, mostly just gluten related.

Babies that young lack the enzyme needed to break down rice in digestion. Rice is not a good first food. I'd stick with nourishing foods. WAPF is a good resource.
