anyone else in the Rochester or Syracuse area?

I just found out I'm pg, very excited, totally LOST. and while online friends can be awesome, offline friends are great too. I moved up here about 3 years ago and was working from home until I got laid off, so not a lot of opportunity to meet new people, especially since I live in a teensy little town which is mostly older folks, not many people my age. I'm 37, this is our first baby, I don't know ANY of the crazy acronyms that people on this site use, and I'm just looking for buds and support - local or not, especially since we are waiting before telling most of our friends. So ... hi from the finger lakes!

    thanks! And good luck while TTC! I am in Seneca Falls, pretty much halfway between the two. DH works in Rochester. We moved from FL, so right about now we're freezing!

    Hello! I am about a half hour south of Rochester. My DH and I are currently driving cross country- moving from Vegas back to Roc. My high school used to play Seneca Falls :-)

    TTC since 6/2003. m/c 9/14/03 8 weeks, 5 chemical pregnancies, mmc 6/04 12 weeks, Michael born sleeping 5/25/05 at 22weeks always our angel, fought ovarian cancer and won, m/c 4/06 5.2 weeks and 7/07 6.6 weeks,Our Miracle baby girl born 4/8/10,mc 12/18/11 at 5.3 weeks, BFP 10/26/12 dating u/s on 11/8/12 showing a strong heartbeat!EDD July 4,2013. RCS on 6/27. Baby boy in NICU for 8 long and scary days before he was able to come home. We are now a happy family of 4

    My hubby and I are in the Syracuse area too :)  This is my first post!

    This is my first pregnancy, and I believe that I am about 8 weeks along.  First Dr. appt is Jan 6, though I was quite upset that no Dr in the area would see me any sooner (I called all local offices I could find a number for and was told that no one would see me until it was after 8 weeks.  I made these calls around December 5!)

    Pattieluv - good luck @ your first appointment! I haven't seen the OB yet either ... they require a blood pregnancy test before they'll schedule the first one, and I haven't taken it yet because I need to be sure that it will be covered under emergency insurance. Fun stuff!
