I'm going to do it (I think)

When the morning--ahem--all day sickness kicked in last year, I was two weeks away from my first half marathon.  I was running 10 miles no problem.  I was *so* sick, though, that I chose not to do it.  My BFF has begged me to run the Rock 'n' Roll half marathon in June.  I'm going to do it.  I have to start training in March.  I need to spend January getting back up and running (no pun intended) after my surgery.  My DH claims that he really wants me to do this; he thinks it's something on my bucket list, so he says he's going to step up his QT with LO so that I can run.  We'll about that when it comes time for 2 hour long runs on the weekends.

  • YAY! I'm excited for you! I'm working my way up from just over 10 miles a week      (12-14, usually) to 20 miles a week :-)

  • Good luck! My best friends convinced me to run a half marathon in May. I have a lot, and I mean a lot of training to do in the next few months! I figure if I survived labor I can survive (and finish) a marathon. :).  I am sure you will do great!

  • Good for you!  My husband is doing a half marathon next month and I'm kind of jealous that I'm not doing it.  I really want to do another one, but I've been having trouble managing my time to be able to get the training in.  Good luck with your race!
