Hello! I am 20 weeks and in a need of some really nice, cute maternity clothes. I am quite the girly girl and love dressing up for every occasion. I have been to Motherhood Maternity and really enjoyed my experience, but some of their stuff just isn't my style. I have had the same luck at Target. I feel like they think that pregnant women just turn into jean or yoga pants with a t-shirt kind of girl and then move on. I am more of a dress person (cotton, flowey, flowers, comfortable) and although I currently live in the Northeast right now, I am moving to southern Georgia in two weeks. Does anyone know of any places online or other stores where I can find cute maternity clothes?
Re: I need help finding maternity clothes!
I really like GAP, but they also seem to have a small selection (maybe it was just the store I stopped at).
I've heard good things about Pea in the Pod also.
Let me know if you find anything else that works, I would love some suggestions!
The Gap and Pea in the Pod have some cute things. Pea in the Pod is my one of my favorites!
Pea in the Pod does have some nice stuff..but its pretty expensive, in my opinion! I love Old Navy. Its pretty plain especially in the winter but their stuff gets better in the spring! I was pregnant the exact same months two years ago (due dates are 2 years, 1 day apart) so I remember pretty clearly being stuck with ugly stuff at the beginning and finding better stuff in the spring. Im in FL so spring starts pretty early at least!
Oh, and check out stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, they have *small* maternity sections but occasionally cute stuff!
This exactly! I bought a bunch of sweater dresses (not maternity) that fit really nice and I've been wearing them with leggings underneath and cute boots. Don't rule out just regular clothes. I also bought a regular sweater that fits really nice because it is longer and has rucheing on the sides so it forms around my belly really nice.
I'm a budget friendly fashionista so I like a good bargain! The motherhood and pea in a pod stores are nice, but way out of my price range. I have fun at thrift stores, walmart (Forget about Wally's ladies...lots of cute stuff), Target and Old Navy. Primarily, I buy plus size items and accessorize them with purses, flats and accessories. H&M (like a previous poster said) is an AWESOME place for trendy, cutesy hip clothes...U and the Baby can leave there with a full wardrobe! Its my favorite clothing store Pre/during/Post pregnancy. And....if you are moving to Georgia...there is one in Atlanta in Atlantic Station...its HUGE!
Hope I helped!
Thank you everyone! I like to bargain shop as well, but I really don't mind splurging at stores like Motherhood Maternity and A Pea in a Pod. It's just frustrating that it seems that maternity clothes only have one style. I have a small figure and even though I don't want to wear skin tight clothes, I do want things that flatter my figure and my bump! (I'm proud of it! How can I not!)
Thank you for all your help!!! I'll be shopping around for the next few days! Luckily Spring clothes should be making an appearance soon!
Gap, Old Navy, Kohl's, Sears
and my personal fav is a re-sale store near me, check out what's in your new area!
